Welcome to Skincare Edinburgh. To ensure a smooth, safe, and relaxing experience for all clients, and to protect the operations of our business, please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

1. Appointments and Bookings

  • Booking Confirmation: Appointments are only confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received and you have received a confirmation email or message.

  • Arrival: Please arrive on time for your appointment. As this is an at-home salon, we ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes early to respect the privacy of the household and previous clients.

  • Parking: If there is a space free on the driveway you are welcome to park on the driveway. Street parking via use of visitor bays is also available.

2. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds

We understand that circumstances may change. To ensure fairness to all clients, we enforce the following tiers regarding appointment changes:

More than 48 Hours Notice

If you cancel or reschedule with more than 48 hours notice:

  • You are eligible for a full refund of any deposits or payments made.

  • Alternatively, you may transfer your deposit or payment to a future booking without penalty.

Between 24 and 48 Hours Notice

If you cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours notice:

  • No refunds will be issued for deposits.

  • The paid amount will be held as a store credit regarding a rescheduled appointment valid for 30 days.

Less than 24 Hours Notice

If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice:

  • You will not receive a refund.

  • Deposits or payments are forfeited to cover the loss of the appointment slot.

  • A new deposit or payment will be required for future bookings.

3. No-Shows and Late Arrivals

No-Shows

  • Missing an appointment without prior notice is considered a "No-Show."

  • This will result in a 100% charge of the service amount.

  • We reserve the right to decline future bookings for clients with a history of no-shows.

Late Arrivals

  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or reschedule you to avoid delaying the next client.

  • If we must reschedule due to lateness, it will be treated as a "Less than 24 Hours" cancellation (fees apply).

  • Full service price is charged even if the treatment time is reduced due to lateness.

4. Health, Safety, and Right to Refuse Service

Health Conditions

  • Please notify us of any allergies, medical conditions, or injuries prior to your appointment via the Client Initial Consultation form or update form for subsequent visits.

  • Contagious Conditions: For the safety of everyone, please reschedule if you are feeling unwell or have a contagious condition (e.g., cold sores, pink eye, lice, open wounds). We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it poses a health risk.

Right to Refuse Service

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Inappropriate behaviour or harassment.

  • Intoxication (alcohol or drugs).

  • Poor hygiene that interferes with the service. In such cases, service will be terminated immediately, and full payment will be required.

5. Service Satisfaction

We do not offer monetary refunds on completed services. However, your satisfaction is our priority.

  • If you are dissatisfied, please contact us within 72 hours.

  • We will offer a complimentary adjustment if the issue is technical/execution-related.

  • "Change of mind" regarding agreed-upon styles or colors is not covered.

6. Liability and Personal Belongings

  • Clothing: Please wear appropriate clothing. While we take every precaution (capes, towels), Skincare Edinburgh Ltd is not liable for accidental damage to clothing or personal items during the service.

  • Reactions: We may require a patch test for certain chemical services 24-48 hours prior. Skincare Edinburgh Ltd is not liable for reactions if you have withheld medical information or history of allergies.

7. Guests and Children

  • Space Limitations: As this is an at-home salon with limited space, please do not bring guests or children to your appointment unless they are also receiving a service.

  • Safety: The salon environment contains hot tools and chemicals that may be hazardous to unattended children.

8. Gift Cards and Vouchers

  • Non-Refundable: Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or returned.

  • Validity: Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Loss: Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.

9. Retail Product Returns

  • Unopened: Refundable within 14 days with proof of purchase.

  • Opened: Non-refundable due to hygiene standards unless defective.
